The Comunitat Valenciana is preparing for the first major tourist “sold-out” (full) weekend of August, which begins tomorrow, with occupancy forecasts of over 90 percent in the three provinces, in large part due to the fact that the vacation Monday rental dies of vacation rentals.

According to the Valencian Hotel Employers Association (HOSBEC), “technical full occupancy” is reached when the average occupancy is 94 and 95 percent and already a significant proportion of hotels do not have a single room to sell in the next few days.

From the sector, have pointed out that all forecasts have been met and the various destinations in the Comunitat Valenciana will hang in a large proportion of signs of full during the August long weekend that begins tomorrow: from 90 percent on the Costa Blanca, to 91.1 in Benidorm, 91.2 in Castellón and up to 92.7 in the province of Valencia.

The location of the holidays on Monday has greatly affected travel for the long weekend, especially for national tourism, and in the last two weeks has not heard the rhythm of reservations for what the sector considers the “peak of the tourist season” . With these figures currently consolidated and the bookings arriving at the last minute, a so-called “technical full house” is reached, that is, an occupancy rate of over 94 percent.

Valencian destinations such as Cullera and Gandia have been sold out for days due to events such as the Medusa Festival, which has turned the entire Valencian coast upside down.
